Something I have never really talked about to anyone on here...heh...is something...or someone...I was very passionate about as I was 12 to about 13 years old. i mentioned him very briefly on the List Of Crushes page. He is a singer and his name is Billy Idol! It started, as I was very very into the movie "Flushed Away," and Roddy the mouse played Billy's song called, "Dancing With Myself." I liked the song, and it became my FAVORITE song...like ever! Especially when I was in the 7th grade! Ahh, middle school days!
I had listened to many of his songs, and my faves include, "Dancing With Myself," "White Wedding," "Rebel Yell," "Eyes Without A Face," "Shock To The System," "Mony Mony," and more! If one of his songs came on the radio, I would run to the tape player and tape it. I'd listen to the radio and say, "Plleeeeease play Billy Idol!!" Kids in school never even understood it. It was a little odd, considering I was 12, and at the time, he was 52! LOL he is still in his 50s now! I liked mostly how he looked as he was younger, lol like in the good old 80s, but wow...I freaking loved that guy! His music...everything!
After awhile, I mean I never stopped being a fan of him but...after awhile it did die down. A few days ago, my mom said that Billy himself would be at the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem! And tonight, we went! Yay! When he came out onstage, I could FEEL the 12 year old me, and how often I'd play his songs, etc.! i wish I could tell the 12 year old me, "Someday your dream will come true. You will see him someday, in person, in the city you were born in!" :)
