Dragon Rider is a fanatsy novel written by Cornelia Funke. The book was published in German and English. The story follows a young silver dragon named Firedrake, Firedrake's friend Sorrel, A Forest Brownie, and Ben a young human who has become the first Dragon Rider in many many years. Through the story Firedrake, he is persued by a golden dragon named Nettlebrand. Nettlebrand can not fly but has control over the water. Firedrake is looking for the Rim of Heaven so that his clan of Dragons can move and live in peace.
